Wow its been a while, but i've been pretty busy with exams, which went in this order.
1) AP Government and Politics
2) AP Statistics
3) AP Calculus BC
4) AP English Literature
5) AP Physics B
6) AP Chemistry
7) AP Macroeconomics
o_o i realized i sure had a lot. i must say after being anally raped by Physics i pretty much didn't care about the others. i wonder how many i actually passed. I'll just blame it on senioritis.
School lets out this Wednesday for us. Its this event called Senior Walkout when we're called out of class to the middle of the school, pretty much jump around and flaunt our freedom in the underclassmens face and walkout the front door.
Unfortunately i'm sick :( i missed jacon because my mom made me stay home. hopefully i'll get better by walkout so i can play around at IOA after. i guess its better to get sick now than when i'm in india, its far tooo hot there.
time to have my 4th glass of orange juice and watch Finding Neverland.
Looking for Alaska is pretty much a coming of age story. If you look at the cover...doesn't seem like something you'd find interesting. (i judge books by their covers, i can't help it) If anything, try it out because John Green wrote it (hoo HA nerdfighters!) It's a page turner, suspenseful, and somewhat nostalgic. He also has a very pleasing writing style. (go read!)
Just recently, this book was up for debate to be included into a schools curriculum because of steadily rising parental disapproval. Due to its graphic content, I can understand if a school bans it, for 6th graders, BUT this is a high school. Which makes me wonder, do parents really believe their kids will always stay naive forever? Censoring what we read and watch isn't going to shun these evils...better said "truths", away, if anything it makes it much more appealing.
In related news, my districts' science education school board is in session, discussing...you guessed it, evolution subject matter in our schools. Fortunately they don't have any intention in removing the topic from our curriculum completely, since almost everything in the field of biology stems from this. But they are planning on trifling the importance of evolution. I understand that evolution goes against many peoples religious beliefs. BUT religion and science are two different schools of thought! and these parents that keep forcing their narrow mindedness on the school board need to find another alternative which doesn't affect the entire district. This is why we're so stupid compared to everyone else. >___<
*angry/loses ability to form proper sentences*
-_____- stupid conservative religious basta...*trail off*
P.S. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fHMPtYvZ8tM John Green's response.
I'm not a mecha fan, or a fan of excessive fanservice, but the show seems to balance both in a way so i can stand them. The plot line reminds me of Star Ocean: Till the End of Time, which higher being trying to kill another race kinda thing. Its animated by Gainax, same people who made FLCL. Easy to tell, the art is almost the same and certain sequences are alike. Also, in a certain episode yoko does ride what looks like a vespa. xD
Oh, and there was a Beach episode and a Hot Springs episode, since we all need the comic relief, not to mention the highly-abbreviated bathing suits. (yay TV tropes!)
In other news!
i spent a lot of time staring here. there is actually no other news....I just said it...because..
You should totally do one too and reply it to this blog entry i'll probably forget to post. :D
Fine fine, I'll actually study now.
damn its 2008 already.
It's one of those years I've been thinking about since middle school. '08 means college, '08 is supposed to mean freedom. Unfortunately i seem to be dreading it. @__@ I guess I'm just being a coward.
Moving on:
I learned I really don't like Macs. Maybe i'm just not used to the apple scent, but even with Vista, it didn't take me very long to actually get used to it. But i must say, my friends Macbook Pro was so shiny. Unrealistically shiny. OMFG I would be so scared to touch it! shiny. I laughed when i saw the little sidebar, filled with oh-so-windows like things. In my opinion, unless your an avid podcaster or musician (anything right brained) i don't really see any practical use coming from owning a Mac. Watch me end up loving macs later on, because thats the kind of hypocrite I am.
Moving on:
I got a Sony Cybershot. Super easy to use. I love it. Ofcourse my parents bought it without asking me (not that i'm complaining) but i would have gone Casio. (i have a soft spot for anything Casio made) So expect random blurry pictures, because its my current style. (i suck) ^___^;;;
Flickr! comment plz. criticism much appreciated. :D
I was watching the democratic and republican debates for the Iowa
caucus and I swear almost every cause is for the children. My
goals....for the children....my dreams....for the children... even
though we all know we're not going to see any real political
change in our lifetimes. (Moco secretly blames the republicans.)
I'm still not sure who I really support on the Democratic side yet. Maybe that will clear up after the primaries, but I definitely hate Romney and Giuliani.
In other news! Many people are getting their Early Decision letters in the next couple days. Luckly/Unluckily (?) my early decision school won't contact me for a while. I guess it really wouldn't matter whether I will be accepted there or not. My parents are against sending me anywhere out of state. Unless, of course, I can qualify for financial aid.
In other news! part two! Went to the beach for thanksgiving, since we don't really have family here. Clearwater has to be one of the best beaches I've ever visited. In general, beaches on the Gulf are a lot more healthier. The lack of tourists is always a plus.
Yay for the pictures off to the side. I used certain filters for the last two.
A plausible New Years Resolution: Buy a personal camera and experiment more with photography. I'm not very good, as you can see, but its an art form that's too user friendly to horribly screw up.
And yes, i did update this blog for the sake of updating ^___^;;
Unfortunately american girls, or any other girl in a westernized country a matter of fact, has this notion where if they feel like they can freely wield the power to accuse sexual molestation on anyone. I understand that my gender is the normally the less dominant one and therefore our society attempts to give us an advantage for calling harassment. It's just unfair to hand any person who has a vagina, the advantage to completely ruin another mans life just because she feels vaguely threatened or uncomfortable.
To be less vague, this has happened to a very good friend of mine. Gosh if i could just find out the name of the girl who made up such a story ( -______________- ) make her taste cement for a very long time. I wonder why our criminal prosecutors will take the word of some disillusioned young girl over the pleas of a 20 year old guy. Supposedly this crime happened about 2 years ago, when he was still 18, so he will be tried as an adult. Makes me wonder whether our government truly believes that the moment someone turns 18 they get this epiphany where they automatically understand how to consciously think and become a properly functioning person.
Either way, his life is ruined, whether he is guilty or not, which he isn't, since I've known him for 4+ years and he never would do anything like that, and its almost impossible to prove him not guilty since he was technically the only adult under direct supervision present. There's something daunting about seeing the mug shot of someone i really care for. He looked unbelievably to sad, i couldn't concentrate on anything all day. Its not that i am necessarily blaming this stupid dipshit girl, more like blaming society in general for giving a group of citizens the power to ruin someone elses life just because of their gender.
-end rant-
well geez i feel kinda better. :\
iMoco's tip of the moment: how to avoid a certain person who works at the grocery store.(option 1) force your possessive friends/brother to come along. (option 2) go buy feminine products.(or a combination of both)
Reading: Winkie
My lit teacher assigned us this what the fuck book. (yes its that o__o)
A pretty accurate summary: A trans-sexual, terrorist teddy bear. No joke. Completely irrational, completely odd, completely thought-provoking. imoco definitely recommends.
In other news. Dandiya Raas was a couple weeks ago. Now really regret I didn't go, especially since my mom bought me an outfit for this one. But either way, last years' was completely awesome. Unfortunately I didn't have the stamina to last all the way till 3 or 4 in the morning. (For those who care/are confused:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dandiya) I think I uploaded a picture from last years' on vox, if you're willing to strain yourself for another couple clicks. ^____^ this post has enough pictures the way it is.
Time to call it a night and continue pretending to work on college applications while actually watching Welcome to the NHK.
reference to title: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZAl4CObwiIQ
current drama craze: yamada taro monogatari >///////<
anime i should be watching: lucky star
so i have this issue and i'm pretty sure i can't fix it. it's more
like, i close my eyes and my heart races, times when i feel numb and unusually optimistic. And it makes me so frustrated because i don't have time for giddy
feelings like these! i have the SATs to study for! college applications to finish!
why couldn't this hit me last year when i was actually saw this person
everyday! *anger*
In other more girly news, recently i haven't been able to stand my best
friend. Just the general being around her and talking to her. Its more of
a "social politics" kinda thing, with a fresh blast of jealousy which i will
have to eventually get over.
Now in reference to this picture. XD
Now thats some strong school spirit. Home coming week was rather memorable. Opposed to everyone else's homecoming...which was probably a blur. >__> I still can't wait till this damn year is over. *stressed*
footnote: mind you suppressing that intense urge to write in 3rd was pretty commendable. *pats self on the back* ^__^
I have not seen a kitten or alligator in the past few weeks. But for future reference:
kittens>alligators.
U.S. Gov't class.
sooo.....What right does the American government have to impose its democracy onto other countries anyways?
Supposedly since the US is seen as the main founding fathers of modern "democracy" with the establishment of a constitution...we have this "god given" right to convert other countries into miniature exploitable factories for our use. (While sticking an enormous orange sticky note over then labeled REPUBLIC UNDER CONSTRUCTION!)
I'm not just talking about the more recent Iraq, but also the several South American countries where our government helped aggregate several coups just to over throw the governments that were not favorable to our American businesses.
For a place that prides itself in being somewhat capitalistic its pretty shameful. On the same note, hearing my gov't teacher lecture about events like these were surprising. Not just because I would have never thought our government was so despicable, but also it seems to contradict the real reason we are forced to take such a retarded class like history anyway. They say we learn history to stop history from repeating itself. F that. It obviously isn't working. I vote they scrub History all together from our required curriculum.
Or at least stop forcing it down our throats by 10th grade.
In other not so related news: Arashi-Happiness <3
Ohno has never looked hotter in his bright red shirt *roll*
i will say i am right now in hs (08! ftw)
I LIVE UNDER A ROCK. (as in i kno almost nothing about current popculture...i'm trying to improve on that...)

ethnicity wise...i'm asian...specifically from india. even more specifically south india. and yes i kno. north indians definitely have more interesting parties and whatnot. (insert.stereotypes.here)
my favorite number is 13...even tho my lucky # is 9.
